Couple Therapy

Couples can often find themselves struggling to communicate, going over the same old arguments, or feeling disconnected. All relationships go through ups and downs, and it can be difficult to find a way out of a repeating cycle of blame or hurt silences. Over time miscommunication can lead to emotional and physical withdrawal from each other.

Couple therapy will help you to explore each other’s point of view. It enables couples to gain new understanding of the root causes of problems in their relationship.

During periods of stress, or unexpected life events all couples can benefit from the support of a qualified therapist. A therapist will not take sides, and will seek to enable both of you to listen and hear what your partner is communicating. Having a therapist who is not emotionally involved enables constructive discussion without the couple deteriorating into a heated argument or emotional withdrawal.

Choosing to ask for support can enable couples to rebuild their relationship, and learn more positive ways of interacting with each other.
