F.A.Q.

Complete the online Contact Form. Once we have made the decision to work together, I will email you a registration form. This will provide me with some background information, which will help our first session to be more productive.

I am happy to offer therapy both in-person or online, or a combination of both. In-person has the advantage of being able to use body language as an additional way to communicate, whilst online can be more convenient in terms of scheduling if you have a busy life.

Yes. Therapy sessions often involve difficult discussions about sensitive issues and are strictly confidential. All personal information relating to your case will be kept in a locked cabinet, or in password protected, encrypted electronic files. Seven years after the closure of your file, all information will be permanently deleted or physically destroyed.
All sessions between us are confidential, and no information will be disclosed to third parties without your prior written consent, unless:

• You, or any family member, presents a risk of harm to themselves or others;

• There is clear evidence that a child under the age of 18 is at risk or has been abused or neglected;

• Information is requested by a Canadian Court of Law in respect of Court proceedings.

I offer an initial free 15 minute telephone call during which we can discuss how I can support you. Thereafter, from.1st January 2024 my fees are:

Individual: $160 per hour
Couple: $160 per hour
Family: $160 per hour

Insurance companies often pay for a fixed number of therapy sessions with an appropriately qualified professional. I am an accredited couple and family therapist, and social worker registered with the Ordre des Travailleurs Sociales et Therapeutes Conjugales et Familiales du Québec (OTSTCFQ). I also hold a psychotherapy permit accredited by Ordre des Psychologues du Québec (OPQ).

Please check with your insurance company to determine if they cover sessions provided by professionals in these orders. I am able to provide you with receipts, but do not direct bill the insurance company.

No. These are confidential to you. I will simply provide a receipt to confirm your attendance.
You are welcome to email me between sessions. However, please be aware that if the email requires a lengthy response, I may suggest that we discuss the contents of the email in our next session. I will endeavour to reply within two working days.

You can cancel or reschedule completely free of charge up to 48 hours prior to your session. This will allow me to offer your session to another client on my waiting list.

If you do not cancel more than 48 hours in advance of your session or do not attend your appointment without letting me know, you may be charged an administrative fee up to the equivalent cost of your missed session.
